Egg dontation

Overseas programme

Patients opting for the overseas programmes can be reassured that egg collection, fertilisation, embryo screening and embryo transfer will be performed by fertility specialists and embryologists trained either in Britain or in other European Community countries.

London Fertility Centre (UK) will monitor and manage your treatment to prepare you for embryo transfer which will then take place in Spain.

IVI Alicante

Egg donation was authorized by Spanish legislation in 1988 (35 / 1988 Act, 22 November) and donations must be voluntary, anonymous and non lucrative. Following the law, donors must be over 18 and under 35 years of age. They are selected according to very strict medical criteria.

The IVI Alicante egg donation program is based on a continuous flow of egg donors. Every time a donation is confirmed, a selection according to physical characteristics (photographs) is performed among the recipients who are already prepared with oestrogens. If there are several matching patients, the one that has been on oestrogens the longer is assigned. Please note that you will be given no information regarding your assigned donor until after your embryo transfer.
