The idea of Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is to select a single motile and normal sperm and inject it inside the egg. It is especially recommended for couples who had fertilization failures in the past or for men with significantly abnormal sperm results.
ICSI is more invasive than IVF; however it is a safe and effective procedure which should be carried out as indicated.
